Politics and Governments

Imagine a world run without governments, laws, borders. Doesn't it seem like a fuck-all utopia?
Imagine no passports, paperwork, taxes, policies or even legal age barriers. Someone could fuck around and misuse authority but still, hey, that sounds like freedom right?
Which comes to the question- Why do we have a government? Who runs whom and why?

Are we just a bunch of clean shaven sheep with a bell tied to the neck walking up to an election booth just to prove a few statistics? Is there even a need to vote? Are elections just a sham? Are they just trying to convince us that our involvement really matters?

In India election is a mostly a pre scripted tale. Even with a literacy rate of 74.04% we have a majority of voters who elect their leaders based on religion and caste. Most first time voters who have no idea about politics vote for the party which is the family favorite or the friends/workplace favorite or, we-have-always-been-voting-for-them-because-they-triple-fisted-out ancestors type. Even opinion polls project numbers based on the density of Hindus and Muslims in a particular area. Despite all the attempts made to secure communal harmony, political parties openly appeal to the Hindus, Muslims and Minorities.
If you are an educated voter and all you are doing is following the political opinions of your family, then there is no use voting. If you take a step back, clear your mind and think about political parties and their track-records, decide for yourself, then only you would be fulfilling your responsibilities as a voter.

Congress (The Grand Old Party) was the only party which majorly ruled our country for roughly sixty years either as a single majority or as an alliance. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi belonging to the same family have ruled people. Sonia Gandhi unofficially ruled the government from 2004 to 2014 in the name of Man Mohan Singh while her son Rahul Gandhi was heavily preparing at Harvard, Rollins and Trinity (barely passing exams) just so he could come back and overtake politics for the party in 2014 if they won.

Then came Narendra Modi who belonged to a humble background, an education up to +2 in the state school also had wife whom he had been married off to at a very young age. His parents sold vegetables and he along with his brothers sold tea at railway stations and bus terminals. Grew up, toured the country, left his wife, worked for the RSS and held major positions, went into hiding during the emergency and also worked his way to become the chief minister of Gujarat.

2014 General elections, Rahul Gandhi VS Narendra Modi.
Rahul Gandhi who always dreamt of ruling the nation like his ancestors did had gotten his legs stuck into a few major scams which involed a lot of taxpayer money. 2G, Commonwealth scams, Agusta Westland, Bofors etc.

As you know, NDA came to power, making Narendra Modi the PM. He worked on issues, settled the foreign policies by visiting other nations or what the opposition called, "Where are you going papa please dont leave me."

Our country was and I quote, "smelled like shit". A major part of our country open defecated. Before 2014, 38.70% of the population had access to toilets and now after the NDA came to power, 2018 recorded 88.59% people having access to toilets. (Source)
Inflation has been moderate throughout and the fiscal deficit is easing very impressively.
Setbacks being the short term effects of Demonetization and GST, where the opposition continuously rap-ranted about out country having a unified tax system and our genius Rahul Gandhi coining a Chotta Bheem reference and calling it Gabbar Singh Tax. Improved ease of doing business and now recently the slab of tax has been laid off for incomes below 5 lac rupees.
The tax inflow has been increased to around twice from what was before 2014.
The government also managed to cease thrice the amount of money Vijay Mallya owed the banks and also made new laws on tax evaders.
They played a clean government which was unbearable by the other parties which led to Rahul Gandhi trying to plant a sapling in peoples minds watered by words like Rafale and Anil Ambani.
You could turn to TV right now and find him in any one of the channels uttering the same under the hope that a lie told many times may seem to be true.

2019, right before elections it has somehow become obvious that the BJP would get more seats than all others so this is what happens. All rival parties come together to for a Maha-Gathbandhan, which is basically a very long word Rahul Gandhi learnt while his time off POGO TV.

The congress also has promised a NYAY scheme which basically means that all your taxpaying money goes to the hands of the poor- exactly 72000 rs per family for a year. Even if they did, how would this eradicate poverty, it would only encourage more people to become poor. The minimum wage is around 6-7 thousand rupees a month, which means a hardworking person would earn a max of 84 thousand. He would rather sit at home, be a poor man, earn 14k less but still he ain't working so who cares, use the 72000 rupees, split it to 6000 rupees a month and buy 2 beers every night and sleep peacefully. Which is why they should rename NYAY scheme to the HIGH scheme.
If you didn't get the math, here it is.
1 Day-2 Beers (2*100)= 200 rupees.
200 rupees everyday for a year would cost (200*360)= 72000 rupees. (Assuming the sad guy didn't drink for 5 days.)

That's just exactly what the congress would give us if they came to power and if we shifted to poverty.
What an incredible idea isn't it dear friends, lets all become poor. Fuck the poverty rate. Take out your rags and Holi clothes, smear some grease on your face, its an advantage if you already look ugly, make some friendship with slum dwellers, buy a house there and finally get kicked out of the house(which is pretty easy) and live in some shelter, eat food from an Indira canteen and drink two fine beers every damn night of your life and live in some shelter for the next five years or something until the economy crashes.

You've gotta choose.

The General elections is not like the school election where everybody comes on stage and either deliver a speech or regret by forgetting the speech and cute ending by saying ,'May the best person win.'
The General elections is more about the fate of the country for a period of 5 years.
If you are going to work hard in a successful environment, pay taxes for the government who improves your immediate surroundings or pay for the government who distributes money to the poor because they promised to before the elections.
You could take either earn your own money and feed your family, or take money from the government, live the poor yet privileged life.

I repeat, "YOU" have got to choose.

(Despite my political opinions and clear political polarisation I openly admit to do, I still urge 'you' to view all angles and select the path of our country.
I'm just another politically-opinioned person who is still observing the politics)
Good luck voting, and yes, do press the right person. The 'right'.
